“Inspire” (Asian Seasoned Singles Conference August 2019)

When the apostle Paul describes the various spiritual gifts like speaking in a different tongue, prophecy with understanding, and faith that could move mountains, he somehow passes all of these things for just one thing: Love. In 1 Corinthians 13:13 he says, “Three things will last forever: faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love.”

Faith is what brings us to know the heart of God. Hope is the fuel that keeps our belief alive. And love is knowing who God is and who are in Him. Love has the power to help us have faith and restore hope again and again.

As seasoned singles, no one knows the emotional and spiritual importance of faith, hope and love more than us. We have gone through the mountains and the valleys of the Christian life and we are still fighting the good fight in the faith! We have each shown great determination, patience, humility and perseverance in Christ; wow, that is certainly worth celebrating!

But can there be more to life than just hanging on?

Can we find stillness in our lives and know that He is the unchanging God Ps 46:10)? Can we feel uplifted by the Spirit in our devotional lives (Eze 43:5)? Can we still say this is an abundance of grace, faith and love in our lives (1 Tim 1:14)?

What if we replace the negative voice that says “I am all dressed up and have nowhere to go as a single” with God’s voice who reminds us “I am clothed with Christ and I can go anywhere” (Gal.3: 27)?
What if we can learn to overcome thoughts of “I feel lonely” with thoughts like “I am not alone, for my Father is with me” (Jn 16:32)?

What if there is an event where disciples from all over Asia come together to inspire one another that being a single means a time of undivided devotion to Jesus and look forward to a glorious future!

Come August 2019, let us truly INSPIRE God, one another, our friends and ourselves as we come celebrate the untold joy of being a seasoned single disciple in the kingdom of God!
